When doing linkbuilding, many of us just try to get any link from anywhere. But since Google is revising Back Links factor in its ranking algorithm, It is time now to review the practices and try to go to the next level of link building. Poor quality links from dodgy websites, like link farms, will have a tiny or even no influence on the search engine rankings. Therefore it is no use to get thousands of poor quality links as the time spent to look for them and create them, won’t justify your efforts.
When doing the link building, consider the following points and you don’t have to worry about anything regarding Google going mad over you and your site
1. Don’t use same anchor text for 500 links. This may even gives you a shorter boost but after a week or two you will definitely start seeing not so good results.
2. Don’t even dare to think in link farm schemes where you can paste your 20 links ont he same page. This wont do any good to your site.
3. Don’t participate in Link Exchange programs where you get your link on some web page with name Links.html/php/etc. Links from such pages are highly de-valuated.
4. Don’t copy someone’s else content and put your link in it,. Especially when that content has already been indexed and cached by Google.
5. Don’t limit yourself to traditional methods. Think out of the box and be creative. Even if you don’t have budget to give some freebies, You can give free service or write a post on some other blog and in return gets a quality link.
6. Don’t limit yourself to short term link building. You may miss a great backlink only cause the website don’t have a PR now, but what if it gets some in the next one!
7. Don’t get hundreds of links in a day or two. What do ya think Google is? A dumb piece of software?
8. Don’t waste your several hours in reading such stupid posts about link building. Just Do it dude

Link building can be a long and difficult process. Given the scope of most link building projects, it’s vital that you allocate your resources and time efficiently. Awareness of the major link building myths and a bit of creativity can go a long way toward effective link building.
When deciding whether or not to submit a link on a web page, the major factor that used to determine the value of the page and the link is often Google PageRank and the site’s relevance. They are no doubt should has there importance but neglecting the link building opportunities cause of these factors isn’t a good thing.
Google’s PageRank is the indicator of authority that Google assigns to some specifc each web page. High PageRank is a good sign but in some cases links on PR 0 page can prove quite valuable, such as on an authority domain like a .gov or .edu link.
The best links are always on relevant sites preferably those of the same niche or industry or those with similar themes but links on entirely unrelated sites aren’t harmful, and can often help. Use common sense, but never reject a link building opportunity outright just because it isn’t in the same industry as your site.
Don’t think that the old school link building techniques won’t work cause some big SEO says so. The classic form of link building has always been asking via personalized email or a phone call to the webmaster to the site on which you’d like a link. It remains one of the most consistently effective techniques.
Use new techniques like “link bait,” articles written with the intention of gathering links. Write about sensational, reader-friendly topics and use catchy headlines. Create some video content that’s attractive to link to.
Don’t let go any link building opportunity. Run an effective link building campaign and avoid the myths and be creative and innovative.

You surely have read many articles, e-books over Search Engine Optimization, Link Building, Internet Marketing etc. And in all of them you come across a term Keyword. All those articles and e-books are emphasizing on the term keyword and the importance of keyword.
So why all those SEO out there are always describing the keywords and there importance? How a keyword can make or break your online business. Yes, sure it can.
So what exactly is a keyword. Generally speaking,”any term that is relevant to your website or describing the subject/topic/industry/nature of your website can be termed as a keyword for you”.
A more SEO savvy definition can be, “any query that a user put in serch engine to get some specific info/material and in the end reach a specific relevant site is termed as a a keyword”.
Keywords are the words that are describing the topic, subject, industry or purpose of a website. They are the key factors in generating traffic from search engines, which are the biggest source of traffic for any website. When a user types a word or phrase into the search field, the search engine tries to find the website or a webpage that best matches that word. using them wisely is a must step if you want to generate a good and quality traffic for your website. To get the best and useful keywords for your website think like a customer. Brainstorm all the obvious words and phrases that a user can use to find the product you are selling or to find the info you are providing. There are many tools out there that will give you an idea on how many times a word is searched by users. You can use that data too enhance your keywords list.
After finalizing the keywords, you need to use them in your website content. You must use them in title tag, meta tags, body etc. Don’t Stuff the keywords but use them naturally. Always think what will be the benefit a visitor/customer will get if he comes to this page. Will he find the info which he was searching.

An effective directory submission strategy may gives your website a boost that you have never imagine to get in ordinary circumstances. Directory submission is an extremely relevant and an effective one way linkbuilding technique. Submitting your website to reputable and relevant directories will provide your website with links, looks and leads if you take the time to develop an effective directory submission strategy.
Directory submission strategies are developed during the process of search engine optimization and search engine marketing. Directories provide links, looks and leads. The link to your website that is submitted to the directory for submission builds up your back links which builds up your search engine reputation. Search engines also look for directory submissions when evaluating websites for their search engine results page. The original purpose of online directories was to provide a valuable link for users to follow when researching information. Providing a link to your website for this native purpose can provide you with valuable leads for future customers.
There are thousands of directories. Many are beneficial to your website, however just as many can be detrimental to your website. The process of directory submission also provides an avenue for locating websites that have content related to yours, providing a valuable resource for link building and competitor analysis. Developing a directory submission strategy requires determining the most advantageous methods for search engine results and search engine marketing, as well as a cost and return analysis of your search engine budgeting. Unfortunately, it’s not a simple task to put a monetary value on link building, search engine exposure and customer leads since there are so many variables, both tangible and intangible.
A directory may charge a fee for your submission, or it may charge a recurring fee. There are many directories that do not charge for submission i.e. free web directories, however close scrutiny to the directory’s reputation is imperative to avoid being penalized by the major search engines. Budget decisions must be taken into consideration when developing your directory submission strategy.
Knowing your target market and having a well-developed customer profile can help you hone in on the directories that are most likely to give your website visibility and reach the customers that are most like to buy your product or service - or complete your call to action. Thus, you will be spending less money, but reaching customers that are most likely to commit, making the directory submission process more efficient. Directory submissions are not limited to search engine directories. Directories range from industry directories, niche directories, regional directories etc.
Finding and submitting into the directories most suitable for your niche and region will strengthen your search engine reputation as well as your website visibility to visitors most likely to be attracted to your website. May be you have been told by many SEO’s that directory submission is now an old school trick for search engine optimization but it should not be neglected if you are seeking to optimize every avenue of opportunity for search engine recognition and website visibility. A directory submission will bring you links to increase your page rank, looks to increase the probability of being included in search engine results, increased traffic, leads for new customers, link building and competitive analysis. Don’t underestimate the value of developing a directory submission strategy, or your website will be underestimated in search engine results - and overlooked by potentially valuable visitors. Submit your URL to directories to surpass your competitors that aren’t using directory submission - and your website visitors will be submitting to you.

If you desire that your website should rank high in the search engines you need an effective link building strategy. The search engines like to see links pointing back to your website, the more links they see, the more important they think your site is and the higher your site will rank. But you don’t want just any old links. The best kinds of back links are links with relevant keywords.
Link building needs to be an ongoing part of your search engine optimization strategy, the more back links you have the better. But don’t rush and suddenly get thousands of links pointing to your site, you need to grow your back links naturally.

It seems more natural to get a few back links every day than to suddenly get thousands of back links overnight. The search engines watch for unnatural patterns, and if they think you are trying to manipulate them, they will drop your site from the search results.
The one thing you don’t want to do is give the appearance of anything that looks contrived. Resist the temptation to buy thousands of links, exploding your link popularity overnight will get your site penalized. How you link is important. Create anchor text using keywords for your back links when you can.
Anchor text is a clickable link, it is simply the text used to link to your site. The search engines use this text to help them decide what your page, is about. So, when possible, choose your major keywords as anchor text. You must use both your main keywords, and variations of your keywords. Try to vary the text you use to link to your site so that it looks natural. And remember that each page on your site ranks for its own keywords so the keywords you use when you link to a specific page on your site won’t necessarily be the same as when you link to your home page. You may won’t always be able to specify the anchor text, but make sure you seize the opportunity when you can.
Link building is just one aspect of search engine optimization, but it’s an important one, so create a link building strategy and keep on building links to the pages on your site. You will see an improvement in your search engine rankings and an increase in the traffic to your site. Building back links is well worth the effort.

There are several factors involved in the optimizing and improving the web sites ranking in the search engines. And the back bone of them is link building. With every day changing web trends, Search Engine marketers exploring new and unique ways for link building and press release submission is found to be the one most vital tool. But then almost all web sites and business concerns send out their press release all the time and how can you actually stand out from the tough competition and make people and customers read your press releases? Before going into the details on how to promote the press release or how to write a proper optimized press release, let us first discuss what a press release is and how it is useful for search engine marketing.
A press release is nothing but an announcement or information about the launch or release of a new product or service. The announcement is made through the news media or other publications depending on the product and the audience targeted. It is a public announcement targeted as to the how, why, when and for what the product or services is introduced. Press releases take the product and makes it public and thus strikes awareness among people about the product. Thus it serves as a great marketing tool. The most important aim and focus of the press release is to gain the creditability of the public.
No doubt there are several sample press release templates out there and you can find hundreds and thousands of example/sample of press releases but how can we term something as a perfect press release format? Generally people seeing the hyped up advertisements whose sole aim is to talk all good things only about the product adhere from it or keep off from it as they lose trust and believe it to be a hoofed product. Whereas press release are written from the third party view and hence does not over expose the creditability of the product nor speak negatively of it. Taking a common stand these press releases are released and it most relevant like a product review. So people like reading press releases to update their knowledge on a particular product, service or a company. And if they found it helpful, they even post it on there website as a news, mentioning the concerned website and hence giving you a juicy backlink.
A well drafted press release can therefore serves as a great link building tool as well as expose the business concern and its products and services to the masses at the same time. This in fact affects the sales and it increases by leaps and bounds and most of gain helps to gain a trust and creditability among the people and customers. Thus press release submission can benefit any business organization and helps in its popularity among the public. In order to get maximum benefit the press release should be very well drafted by a professional.

Link exchange is where you can feature other websites links on your own website and in exchange, the partners will display your web site hyperlink on their web pages. Link exchange has been practiced for a very long time by website owners and link exchange is now used by almost every site on the web big or small in order to improve rankings. Link exchange has certainly evolved a lot since internet marketing started, however one continuous factor is that Link Exchange was and still is one of the best ways of ranking your site or page higher on the search engines.
What are the benefits of link exchange? Well link exchange has been and still is a major part of internet marketing with the main benefit of link exchange being that it is one of the pivotal factors in improving placements in search engines. The major evidence for this statement is existence of so many link exchange directory and link exchange programs. Link exchange is the easiest way to improve your website link popularity, and by doing so, to achieve better search engine positioning and increase your traffic. If done properly Link exchange is a very effective and inexpensive approach of gaining popularity and prosperity on the web. As has been proven over many years now link exchange is the most auspicious way for increasing your visitor traffic without paying any money for advertising. In addition link exchange is one of the most effective ways to increase website ranking, measured for example by Google page rank, therefore increasing traffic to your site.
Due to the domination of the search engine market by Google, and its underlying page rank technology, sites are deemed to be more important if they have large numbers of inbound links. However it is important to point out that if a lot of bad quality and irrelevant sites are linking to you, and your site is linking to them, Google may penalize your site for being irresponsible for your website content. Search engines such as Google use a special link analysis system to rank web pages. For example, try to grab top position in Google for ‘investment’ or ‘traffic’ or ‘diet’ without a high page rank and you will quickly find you have virtually no chance. Ultimately page rank is like trust rank for Google as well as for webmasters therefore I fail to understand why some people will not learn that they just can’t fool Google with their stupid tricks.
Link exchanging can expose your website to Internet users on a worldwide basis as link exchanging is one of the best methods of getting exposure to your site on a limited or zero budgets. Increased and targeted traffic can definitely be achieved by utilizing effective and relevant link exchange to attract larger, quality and targeted traffic for your web site.
